So Which is Better: DIN or Yoke?
When it comes down to the diving, DIN connections are the more streamlined, secure and reliable option. For casual, shallow sport diving, however, yoke fittings work just fine and have been for many years so there’s no need to convert your regulator unless you’re planning to pursue dive training past the advanced open water level. Even if you’re currently diving yoke, I still recommend getting 232 bar DIN valves with any new tanks that you purchase so you have the option of diving DIN in the future without having to buy new tank valves.
